The device has a cover (7) connected to a ring (21) that is viscous-frictionally mounted in an annular groove on the base of a middle of a casing. The ring is retained on the place by a washer provided with tabs that are screwed in horns (17, 17a). A movement has a crown (5) at an end of a winding stem. The movement and the casing or the ring are handled in relative rotation between a closed position in which the crown is masked by the cover, and an open position in which the crown is disclosed.
