The method involves transmitting a right object to a mobile terminal (1) by a right editing server (2) after receiving a right object request for transmitting the right object, which contains a certificate with a public key. A random number is encrypted by the public key, and a key encryption key is derived from the random number for encrypting a right encryption key. A key is encrypted for producing an encrypted key and associated with the right object, which contains the encrypted key, the random number and the encrypted right encryption key. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a server for providing an encrypted key for a mobile terminal (2) a digital right management system provided for a network.
