A large roof with two or more sections on e.g. a sports hall has a parallel array of trusses and joists, interlinked by an array of linked upper and lower web members absorbing the compressive and tensile forces. The structure is formed by a number of wooden rectangular sub-frames incorporating diagonal wooden trusses taking up compressive forces. The sub-frames are factory-assembled units, installed on-site.
