The packaging, using a main packing film web and two side webs (25,27), forms V- or Z-shaped three-layer folds at the junctions (12a,12b) between the side webs. Two overlaid layers (18,30) are bonded by a release adhesive (19) along the web length. A packaging strip is formed of two layers of the main web and the bonded side webs, with their folds over each other, to be bonded together at their edges (21) to form the packaging.
