The device has a round casing that is diagonally cut at an end, where the diagonal cut forms an opening with a sharp cut edge for cutting fabric. A lateral pipe is provided for guiding a fluid through the opening to a necrotic skin area, where the pipe is arranged in an end region of the round casing. A connection is provided for connecting with a suction hose for suction of separated fabric and a part of the fluid. The pipe is screwed into a wall of the round casing, and corrugations are provided outside within a middle region of the round casing. An independent claim is also included for a method for surface removal of necrotic skin areas.
