The clamping device (1) has a spindle nut (26) standing in an effective connection with a drive spindle (22) over an internal thread and with a threaded nut (32) in a torque-proof manner over an external thread. The external thread has a pitch, which decreases in comparison to the internal thread. The spindle nut and the threaded nut are connected in a torque-proof manner by a clamping unit such that a relative rotation between the spindle nut and the threaded nut is enabled during overcoming of pre-stress, which is applied by the clamping unit.
