The unit has a tile (3a) fitted on a movable surface of slabs (1a, 1b, 1c), and another tile (3b) for cladding a front side that is approximately perpendicular to one of the movable surfaces. The latter tile is rear-ventilated in an installed condition, where the rear side or a lateral surface of the latter tile is fastened to a rear side or a lateral surface of the former tile. The former tile exhibits a groove at the rear side, into which the latter tile is inserted with the lateral surface that is provided for fastening. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cladding unit.
