The valve (1) has a retaining body (2), in which an actuator (5) and a compensating element (11) are arranged. The actuator for valve operation works on a valve unit with actuating force by the compensating element. The compensating element has a pressure element (15, 16, 17) and a string element (18, 19). The pressure element and the string element are arranged laterally next to each other and connected in series with respect to the actuating force. Linear expansion coefficient of the pressure element largely deviates with respect to a linear expansion coefficient of the string element.
