The method involves operating multiple servomotor drives (4) with a three-phase common mode filter choke (2), where each drive is clocked in a preset manner. The drive is synchronized with the help of a synchronization device (9) over a field bus or Ethernet. One of the drives is inversely clocked in an intermittent manner with respect to other drives that are operated with equal clock frequency. A pulse width modulation (PWM)-pulse pattern of one half of the drive is shifted 180 degrees opposite to the pulse-width modulation-pulse pattern of another half of the drive. An independent claim is also included for a control device for a servomotor drive.
