The charging circuit has power supply unit (1), whose delivered output is adjustable with an output position unit. A combined voltage regulating unit (10) is operated with the output position unit, which has a voltage guiding connection (25) for the input of a voltage guiding value (DAC-V) for voltage which is provided at external connections (21,22). An evaluating circuit (20) disconnects the supply from electric power to external connections when detecting a predetermined system status of charging circuit following an operation of voltage regulating unit.
