The double sealing valve has a housing (1) having two chambers (2, 3), each having an opening and a passageway (4) which connects the chambers. A drive unit (28) is provided within the housing and connected to a valve, in which two rods (26, 27) are arranged with two closure bodies. The drive unit is controlled by a control unit (59), which is arranged on the drive unit. Sensors (65-70) monitor the valve position. The control unit (59) has multiple sensors (65-70) which cooperate with the location of two object sensors (55, 57). The control unit cooperates with the sensors and the rods.
