The tool for the construction of a collimator (2) useful in computer tomography device, comprises a frame having a base- and cover part with a reception for fastening holding elements (6a, 6b) of the collimator, and a mounting device with a comb-shaped structure for introducing a collimator sheet metal (8). The collimator has two holding elements and collimator sheet metal arranged between supporting elements (4) of the holding elements. The frame is formed for the position-exact and the arrangement of the base part and cover part separated from one another. The tool for the construction of a collimator (2) useful in computer tomography device, comprises a frame having a base- and cover part with a reception for fastening holding elements (6a, 6b) of the collimator, and a mounting device with a comb-shaped structure for introducing a collimator sheet metal (8). The collimator has two holding elements and collimator sheet metal arranged between supporting elements (4) of the holding elements. The frame is formed for the position-exact and the arrangement of the base part and cover part separated from one another. The base part is inserted in the mounting device. The reception of the base part and cover part is homogeneously formed and has a positioning element for the position-exact fastening of the holding elements. One of the parts has an element for clamping the holding elements in the reception, an interchangeable inserting plate, in which the reception is formed, and columns for mounting the other part. The base part has a supporting device adjacent to the reception. The supporting device forms a contact surface for an external collimator sheet metal. Two opposite columns have spacer sleeves. The mounting device comprises a recess for position-exact reception of the base part. An independent claim is included for a procedure for the construction of a collimator.
