The holder (1) has a profile strip (3), in which illuminants are integrated. A sleeve (2) is provided, which is slidable over the profile strip. The profile strip is held in the sleeve in torsion-resistant manner. The profile strip is formed as U-profile. The profile strip has an inner fluting (4), preferably with two shoulders (5). The inner fluting is in the form of longitudinal grooves (9). Shanks (10,11) of the grooves are inserted in the profile strip with different gradients. The profile strip is made of light metal, particularly aluminum. An independent claim is also included for an information carrier, particularly for use as visual advertising on building facades.
