The method involves injecting a contrast medium (S10) into the patient. A waiting time is allowed after the injection. An x-ray image of the patient is included after the waiting time. The x-ray image is examined (S16) by an image processing system by a specific criteria, whether the contrast medium concentration is sufficiently high or not, and in case the contrast medium concentration is determined as sufficiently high, the contrast rich x-ray image is adopted for recording, and in case the contrast medium concentration is determined as non-sufficiently high, the steps are repeated.
