The machine cylinder (1) has an electric motor direct drive (3) driving the machine cylinder by a printing machine cylinder shaft (2), where a bearing bushing (4) is arranged between the machine cylinder and the drive. A movable part (3a) of the drive is connected with the shaft that is supported in a bore hole (4a) of the bushing by a bearing unit (8). A fixed part (3b) of the drive is connected with a front side of the bushing. The bushing has another bearing unit (5), where one of the bushing units permits an axial movement along a rotation axis (7).
