The method involves controlling an access between operating systems (OS1,OS2) and a common hardware (BHW) by a virtualization device (VS). An integrity of the virtualization device is ensured with the aid of a security unit (SH). An access to a data (D1) during the execution of the former operating system is implemented by the security unit such that only the executed operating system has access of its assigned data. An independent claim is also included for a security unit for safe operation.
