The electrical system (20) comprises an ultra capacitor (C-1 to C-n), which stores and discharges power selectively. The electric system also has a control module, which determines an operating mode on the basis of an ON-power mode and an OFF-power mode of the ultra capacitor and calculates a voltage limiting value of the ultra capacitor basing on the operating mode and regulates the operating of the ultra capacitor based on the voltage limit value. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for increasing the operating voltage range and the energy store ability of an ultra capacitor (2) a method for increasing the operating voltage range and the energy store capacity of an ultra capacitor.
