For the lubrication of meshed gearbox cogwheels over an oil sump, with immersed lubrication, the immersed cogwheel (1) spins oil out of the sump to the cogwheels over it. The spun oil is directed upwards and to the side by a deflector (3) to neighboring cogwheels.
