Rows of coupling links (16,18) are bent around an axis parallel to the level of carrier tapes (12,14) and vertical to a row of coupling links so that the coupling links are spread from each other. The coupling links are located in a plane, which lies between planes created by the carrier tapes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) An article with a zip fastener; (2) A slider for a zip fastener.
