The pump (10) has a conveying area (20) with a liquid inlet (12) and a liquid outlet (16) that are lockable with valves (14, 18) e.g. check valves, where the valves are formed in a self-closable manner and are unlocked by an unlocking device. Each valve is separately controllable for unlocking, where the unlocking device is pneumatically, hydraulic and/or electrically activated. The unlocking device acts on a valve body of the valve, which is designed as a ball or a cylinder. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating of a spraying device.
