The system (5) has a time-of-flight (TOF) lamp (4) with a screen (2) that is intransparent for a visible frequency range of electromagnetic radiation emitted by the TOF lamp, while the screen is transparent for the electromagnetic radiation. The screen is a mirror for a part of the visible frequency range. The screen has an arrangement of dielectric layers, and the lamp has a fiber optic cable and a laser, which are connected with each other. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an exterior mirror of a transport unit (2) a bumper of a transport unit (3) a rear view mirror of a transport unit.
