In an optical device (1) with an optical component (4), optic carrier (3) and miniature optic holder (2), (a) a carrier-side connection is formed between the carrier supporting surface (30) and the holder carrier-side mounting surface (23), (b) an optic-side connection is formed between a holder optic-side mounting surface (24) (at an angle to the carrier-side mounting surface) and the component fixing surface (40) and (c) (a) and/or (b) is a shape-fitted thin-layer connection. An independent claim is included for the production of the device, by: (A) positioning the holder (2) using a first retaining device, so that the carrier-side mounting surface (23) faces the supporting surface (30) of the carrier (3); (B) positioning the component (4) using a second retaining device, so that the fixing surface (40) faces the optic-side mounting surface (24) of the carrier and the component (4) is movable in three spatial directions relative to the carrier; (C) orienting the component relative to the carrier, so that the holder and component are displaceable in a first direction along the carrier supporting surface and the component is displaceable in a second direction along the holder optic-side mounting surface relative to the holder; (D) forming a carrier-side connection between the carrier supporting surface and the holder carrier-side mounting surface and an optic-side connection between the holder-optic side mounting surface and the component fixing surface; and (E) releasing the first and second retaining devices from the holder and component.
