A rotary picture recording mechanism (6) obtains two-dimensional pictures from inside a hollow organ (16) such that a two- or three-dimensional reconstruction graphic data set is reconstructed. Pictures are taken of the entire target area during a partial turn of the picture recording mechanism around a rotation angle.
