The microscope has a lambda/4 compensator (2) emitting stimulated radiation of a laser (1) as linear polarized stimulated radiation (AS). Polarization direction of the radiation is turned with a predetermined angular speed. A scanner (7) guides the polarized stimulated radiation over a sample (P) in order to stimulate a fluorescent radiation (FS), and a detection module (10) detects the stimulated fluorescent radiation. An evaluation module (14) derives fluorescence anisotropy from the detected fluorescent radiation in consideration of the direction of the stimulated radiation. An independent claim is also included for a laser scanning microscopic method for measuring fluorescence anisotropy of a sample.
