The connection assembly has an adapter (201) connectable with an end section of a battery cable (16) and another adapter connectable with a battery pole (131) of a motor vehicle battery (10). An electrically isolated housing is provided for receiving the end section of battery cable. The adapters are arranged in such a manner that the adapters are receivable according to a position of the battery pole. The housing consists of an upper part and a lower part (21) that are engaged with each other.
