The engine (1) has two cylinder banks (3, 4) with a respective cylinder (5). The cylinder (5) of the bank (3) is attached at an exhaust gas line (6) and the cylinder of the bank (4) is attached at an exhaust gas line (7). An exhaust gas turbocharger arrangement has two exhaust gas turbochargers (18', 19'), which are provided with double-flow exhaust-gas turbines (18, 19) with flow inlets (20, 21, 22, 23). The flow inlets (20, 21) of each exhaust-gas turbine are attached at the gas line (6) and the flow inlets (22, 23) of each exhaust-gas turbine are attached at the gas line (7).
