The displaying device has a movable indicator device (7) and a drive (2) for the indicator device. The drive is coupled by a magnetic coupling (3, 4) with the indicator device in a contactless manner. A magnetofluid (8) is arranged between the indicator device and a stationary part (5) of the displaying device, where a magnetic field holds the magnetofluid. The magnetofluid takes the form of a ring structure. The coupling includes permanent magnets (11, 12), which produce the magnetic field for holding the magnetofluid that dampens oscillations of the displaying device.
