The wheel has a tire placed on a wheel rim at a chassis frame of an airplane, where the wheel has an aerodynamic design. The aerodynamic design includes lateral projections attached at the rim and projecting from wheel rim levels, where the design causes rotation of the wheel in a roll direction of the airplane during erection on an airstrip depending on air flow that acts in the frame to be driven before landing. A brake device is attached to the wheel for adjusting a defined rotating speed of the wheel, and a tachometer is attached to the wheel.
