The generator (1) has a flue gas channel (4), which is arranged above heating surfaces of a heat exchanger. Separation walls (9, 19) divide a flue gas string (3) into two separated standard strings (10, 11) of a reheater. The standard strings have areas forming a flue gas channel, where one of the standard strings is attached to a control butterfly valve. A channel distribution element is arranged on a longitudinal axis of a drawn-in area. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a vapor outlet temperature of heating surfaces of a reheater.
