The device has a traction device (6) running in a silo (1) i.e. fodder silo, and outside the silo that holds a fodder, where a feedthrough of the traction device lies by a silo cover in the area of a silotop (3). The traction device has a measuring head inside the silo and a fastening unit such as hook or a shackle or a snap-hook in its proximity for attachment of the device. The traction device is guided into the silo by a filling pipe (5).
