The tank (1) for water-bearing household appliances such as coffee dispensers, drinking water dispensers, cooking- and baking devices, steam irons, steam cleaners, high-pressure cleaners, air pressure cleaners and conditioners, comprises a filter cartridge connection, a device connection (3) connectable with a horizontal connection movement, and a housing. The device connection is connected with a filter cartridge (2) insertable into inner-side of the tank and intended with connection elements. The tank (1) for water-bearing household appliances such as coffee dispensers, drinking water dispensers, cooking- and baking devices, steam irons, steam cleaners, high-pressure cleaners, air pressure cleaners and conditioners, comprises a filter cartridge connection, a device connection (3) connectable with a horizontal connection movement, and a housing. The device connection is connected with a filter cartridge (2) insertable into inner-side of the tank and intended with connection elements. The tank-lateral filter cartridge connection and/or a filter-lateral tank connection has a discharge edge that defines a level, which is diagonally aligned in relation to a vertical level in the operating condition of the tank. The device connection of the tank is aligned in horizontal manner and arranged at a side wall (17) of the tank. Filter cartridge holder and/or filter cartridge guidance is intended with vertically aligned guidance section. The filter cartridge is intended for inserting and/or removing a pivot impressing, filter cartridge holder and/or filter cartridge guidance. A sealing surface is diagonally aligned to the vertical level in the operating condition of the tank. The tank-lateral filter cartridge connection and the filter-lateral tank connection have a flat contact surface. A sealing is intended between the tank-lateral filter cartridge connection and the filter-lateral tank connection and has a flexibly ductile section. The sealing is formed as axial sealing and radial sealing. Mechanical coding structure is intended between the tank-lateral filter cartridge connection and the filter cartridge and/or the sealing. The coding structure is formed as fixing element for fastening the filter cartridge. The tank-lateral filter connection has a reception with sharp-edged cross section. The filter-lateral tank connection is formed as coding structure and as form sealing with corresponding extent surface. In the housing of the filter cartridge, an inlet opening is intended as passage for the water from the tank into the filter cartridge. An effective filter section is intended at the filter cartridge in a horizontal- and/or tangential upstream process. Independent claims are included for: (1) a filter for water tank; and (2) household appliances, or devices for the processing of food and/or beverages, such as coffee dispensers, drinking water dispensers, cooking and baking devices, steam dispensing devices, particularly steam irons, steam cleaners, high-pressure cleaners, air pressure cleaners and conditioners.
