Fat-liquoring agent for the manufacture and/or treatment of fireproof-leathers, furs and skins, comprises neutral halogen-free organic phosphorus compounds. Independent claims are included for: (1) a fat-liquoring method during the manufacture and/or treatment of fireproof leathers, furs and skins with aqueous liquor, where the aqueous liquor contains the fat-liquoring agent; and (2) flameproof leathers, furs or skins, which are manufactured with the help of the fat-liquoring agent.
