The production process involves mixing 5-15 wt.% coconut-based active carbon particles with 7 mu m size polyester fiber particles at high temperature to form a melt, which is passed through an injection plate to form a melt flow. The primary fiber is formed by cooling the melt flow at low temperature and high speed. The fiber is stretched, coated with oil, activated, dried, shaped and packed.
