The device has a communication interface provided with a common interface. Hardware- and software components extract provided data from a received transport stream from a communication module. A memory e.g. RAM (4), is provided for intermediate storage of the data, and a receiving unit receives instructions from an external device. A selection unit selects the stored data based on the received instructions, and a Bluetooth module (2) transmits the selected data to the external device over a Bluetooth antenna (1). An independent claim is also included for a method for retrofitting a TV receiver unit.
