It is a process for the production of a microfluidic chip consist of a glass-type material, wherein of a support of a glass-type material having essentially straight edges of the material of an edge is removed, that this edge has a projection and this projection then to a tip is pulled out. The claimed method makes it possible to manufacture of one-piece glass chips with a monolithically integrated, finely divided solid tip.
