The device has a conveyer rotor (5) rotatably supported about a vertical axis (Z) of a bulk material container (1) and a conveyer arm (7), which is swiveled about the axis during rotation of the rotor. A drive has a drive shaft (10), and a drive wheel (11) is connected with the drive shaft in a torsion proof manner. Another drive wheel (14) is connected with the rotor in a torsion proof manner and is coupled for a rotary drive with the wheel (11). The drive has an electric motor with a rotor that drives the shaft by a transmission in a rotatable manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for delivering a bulk material from a bulk material container.
