The present invention relates to a device for generating a pulsating stream of liquid for the treatment of material to be cleaned in the irradiation chamber (3) of an industrial cleaning unit (1). It is the object of the invention is an improvement of the mode of operation of the device, in particular the impact energy of the emerging stream of liquid to increase. To achieve the object, the following components: - a liquid jet generator, with a heat exchange tube (5), and its mouth (10) into the irradiation chamber (3) projects, a laterally on the tube (5) attached to the injection channel (23) for a compressed gas pulses generating device for the purpose of dismantling of the liquid stream into liquid portions (24) by means of is compressed gas pulses and for accelerating the liquid portions (24) through which compressed gas pulses within the heat exchange tube (5). The advantage of the invention consists in that with a relatively low operating pressure, a high velocity of impingement of the liquid jet can be achieved with little technical complexity.
