The centering device (10) for an induction thermal treatment plant, comprises a reception element (12), in which a center reception (22) is formed for receiving a workpiece to be subjected to the induction thermal treatment, and a coolant channel formed in the reception element. The reception element is detachably fixed at the device by a holding element (14), which has a clamping device (16) for fastening the reception element. The coolant channel is formed, so that it enables the supply of a coolant to the workpiece to be subjected to the induction thermal treatment.
