The bracket has a slide (13) for displacement in guides (14, 15, 17) in a gingival-to-occlusal direction. A slot-shaped recess (21) has an opening facing the slide, where a space is available on both sides of a projection (26) to accommodate an end of a leaf spring (22), which projects from the recess. The recess expands towards the opening so that the spring has a sufficient clearance for bending the spring in two displacement directions of the slide. A stop (18) is provided on the bracket for abutment of the slide in its closed position when the projection has overridden the spring.
