Internal combustion engine i.e. otto engine, has actuator with membrane working on mechanism, and chamber connected with air system over line and clock valve, and another chamber connected with air system over line and non-return valve
The engine has a fresh air system (12) supplying fresh air, and an exhaust gas system (22) discharging exhaust gas. An actuator (28) has a membrane (32), which works on an adjusting mechanism. Pressure chambers (34, 36) are separated from each other. The pressure chamber (34) is connected with the fresh air system over a line (40) and a clock valve (38) downstream to a compressor. The pressure chamber (36) is connected with the fresh air system over another line (42) and a switchable non-return valve (44) downstream to a throttle flap (18). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an internal combustion engine i.e. otto engine.
