The method involves alternately cooling and heating a casting mold (1), and forming channels in the casting mold, where a heating fluid e.g. superheated steam, or a cooling fluid e.g. cooling water, flows through the channels. Coolant inflow (KV) is blocked and compressed air is blown over the channels, during completion of a cooling phase. The channels are completely emptied by compressed air, and are attached to a steam generator (2) so that superheated steam flows through the channels, during beginning of the heating phase. An independent claim is also included for a device for production of workpieces made of enamel fluid material, in particular plastic.
