Hooks and locks for attaching on the vertical wall of a piece of luggage (2) has a handle (10,11) for operating the lock (6,7) and displaces the lock downwards against the force of a spring (19). All the hooks and locks are guided on a common carrier element (3). The pivot axis (12) of the handle and locks is located below the hook base. The handle and/or the lock are movably guided in the vertical direction within the tolerances of its pivoting motion. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a fastening device for pieces of luggage on bicycle luggage carriers; and (2) a piece of luggage with a fastening device.
