Flame-retardant polyurethane and/or polyurethane isocyanate based on mixtures of polyester and polyether alcohols are produced by reacting di- and/or polyisocyanates with a homogeneous mixture of 15-55 wt.% polyol of branched aromatic polyester alcohols based on terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid and/or phthalic acid and optionally an aliphatic di-carboxylic acid and suitable diols, 85-45 wt.% polyol produced by depolymerization of polyurethane and/or polyisocyanurate foams in the presence of diols and polyamines with dispersed oligo urea particles, 0.05-1.5 wt.% catalyst based on amines, 0.05-1.0 wt.% stabilizers and optionally solid or liquid additives. An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of polyurethane hard foams.
