The device (1) has a patient table comprising a table stand (2) and a table top (5), with an x-ray source (14), x-ray detector (15) and two joint arms (6, 7) for holding the x-ray source or the x- ray detector. The joint arms are individually fixed at the table stand with shoulder-sided ends (8), and are independently tiltable in each of its degrees of freedom. The source and/or the detector are detachably fixed at a free end of the arms. The arms are motor adjustable, where each joint arm is adjustable according to a type of a robot arm with a control unit (17).
