The method involves supplying an emergency current with the help of an input converter for converting an electrical actuating variable in a physical value of the emergency current. The input converter forms a control circuit unit for a control circuit for regulating position of an actuator (6). The input converter is actuated against a direction of action of a signal flow as a sensor, and a sensor signal is derived from an acoustic signal.
