The method involves connecting a dynamic load engine (12) with an output shaft (16) of a drive motor (14), where the dynamic load engine subjects the output shaft with a defined target moment load profile for different operating conditions of the drive motor. The dynamic load engine is controlled by a control device (18) e.g. computer unit. An actual moment load is measured from the target moment load profile, using a torque measuring shaft (22). The actual moment load is compared with the target moment load, and the dynamic load engine is readjusted if necessary. An independent claim is also included for a device for patterning a load profile.
