The sensor has a housing (2) with a chamber (4) having a wall (6) made of non-magnetizable material, and a sensing magnet (8) is provided in the chamber, where the magnet is movable directly or indirectly according to gravitational force. A magnetosensitive sensor (9) e.g. multiple hall sensor, is provided outside of the chamber, and a sensing magnet is arranged in a float assembly (5), which floats on a fluid (7) in a floating chamber. A hall sensor allows to measure magnetic field gradients.
