At least the cylindrical region (28) of the casing (22) which is to be gripped (30) is made of a cement-bonded material of construction. It is especially a fine concrete. This includes fiber reinforcement. The grain size of the material is preferably less than 2 mm. All of the casing is made from concrete and is single-piece. The refill (20) is permanently-bonded with the concrete. It is a ball-point or fiber tipped pen. The casing is worked subsequently, especially to give it a masonry finish.
