The gear-drive unit (10) has an electric drive motor (12) including an armature shaft (22), and a gear i.e. worm gear, arranged downstream to the drive motor. The gear is effectively connected with the drive motor over the shaft. The shaft lies at a housing part (16) located at a front side (28) of the shaft over a touching disk(32). The touching disk is radially mounted at the armature shaft in the housing part. The touching disk is secured against radial shifting using a separately formed fastening unit (33). The fastening unit is formed as a spring washer (34) and is radially mountable. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a gear-drive unit.
