The device has a cutter (2) extending in a tube (3) and comprising sections at its parts projecting from the tube, where the device is pushed into the potato (4) and rotated in both rotating directions along a central axis. The tube has two cavities, and a spoon is provided for taking out the meshed potato from the inner side of the potato, where the spoon is manufactured from stainless steel or plastic and designed in a flexible manner. A clipper (7) moves on a surface of the tube, where the surface is corrugated and the device is connected to an asynchronous motor or operated by hand.
